Jill Malecha –
Jill is the Owner/Manager/Instructor at Maple Hill Farm. Jill has been teaching riding lessons for almost 20 years, specializing in the English disciplines. She has a background and successful competition record in Eventing and Dressage. She has dedicated a large amount of her professional experience to taking off the track thoroughbreds (OTTBs) and providing them a second career. Jill has competed multiple horses to the preliminary level of Eventing. Although she competes primarily in English, Jill enjoys teaching all ages, abilities, and disciplines. She takes lessons herself from a variety of instructors and some world renowned trainers and has spent a great deal of time refining her teaching skills. Jill has completed training with the United States Eventing Association in the Instructors Certification Program and served on many board of director positions including the Regional Instructor Coordinator for the United States Pony Clubs. She attained her ‘B’ certification through the USPC in her youth, while also competing at the national level. Jill loves teaching all ages and abilities. Whether it is starting on the ground with basic care and horsemanship or refinement in classical Dressage, Jill’s main focus is discovering and refining the relationship between horse and rider.
“There are only two emotions that belong in the saddle: one is a sense of humor and the other is patience.” – J. Lyons
